Brief Biography

Ning Xu is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, China. He is a member of the Institute of Television and Image Information. He received the Ph.D. degree from Tianjin University in 2019, supervised by Professor An-An Liu, and the B.E. degree from Hainan University (Advanced Class) in 2013. He was a visiting scholar at the SeSaMe Research Centre of NUS from 2016 to 2017, working with Dr. Yongkang Wong. His current research interests include Image/Video Captioning, Text-to-Image Generation, Visual Question Answer, Visual Dialog, Scene Graph Generation, Action Recognition, and Causality. Various parts of his works have been published in first-tier venues including TIP, TKDE, TNNLS, TCYB, TMM, TCSVT, IJCAI, and ACM MM.
